An expanding firm in West Africa, specialized in producing, selling and exporting spirits (Rhum, Gin, Whisky, Vodka, liquors, etc.) is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Operations Manager to join their growing team.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of the operations, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day functioning.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective operational processes to optimize productivity and achieve company’s goals.
  • Manage the team, provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee inventory control, ensuring stock levels meet demand while minimizing waste.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to guarantee product/service excellence.
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges, implementing solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyze operational data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments (e.g., commercial/sales, marketing, finance) to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in French is essential for effective communication and collaboration
  • MBA is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of success in improving operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with project management methodologies (a plus).
