- Administers professional skin treatments and must have thorough knowledge of various massage modalities, possesses a general understanding of body treatments and be willing to train in our salon specific skin and body treatment offerings.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our guests.
About the Role A Skin Beauty Therapist will provide skin care services, treatments and advice the patients to improve and enhance the quality and appearance of the skin. The title holder is expected to perform the following tasks:
- Identify and determine patient skin care needs.
- Inform and train patients on the treatment and care of their skin.
- Educate patients on how to care for their skin before and after treatments.
- Maintain patient record of physical findings confidentially and accurately.
- Maintains inventory and order skin care products when required.
- Keep up to date on new skin care products and treatments.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with patients
- The ideal candidate will have a DHA license or must have certificates.
- You should be able to do various skin treatments such using a machine, radio frequency etc.
- Must be knowledgeable with Thalgo and ZO Obagi products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To be on time for work, prompt with each appointment and to perform services within the appropriate time allocated.
- Provide consistent professional skin and body treatments in accordance with salon protocols and our accepted certification practices.
- Effectively inform and educate our guests about specific wellness concerns.
- Be flexible with scheduling, supporting the needs of the salon and guest.
- To properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost control.
- Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.
- Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the salons policies and procedures.
- Properly clean and restock room as required.
- Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the salon that require attention.
- Actively promote the salon, treatments, services and retail, as well promotions and/or discounts available.
- Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
- Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests.
- Possess the ability to work without direct supervision.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
- Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the salon.
- Assist in all areas of salon operation as requested by management.
- Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the salon that require attention.
