Responsibilities:
Greets clients including answering phones and directing client inquiries to appropriate person.
Handles cash transactions between client and store.
Answers routine billing questions/issues from clients
Receives and processes all payments according to standard procedures.
Scans products, operates scanning equipment and fixes scanning issues.
Processes credit and debit cards.
Assists in the opening and closing of a retail location which includes daily cash-flow and cash handling.
Examine products being purchased for damages and price accuracy.
Coordinates with the salesperson for product inquiries and price checks.
Process receipts and in store coupons for clients.
Assists in the maintenance of store front and retail displays.
Organizes and handles the cashier stockroom.
Completes, processes, and maintains applicable paperwork and records.
Counts the cash in the drawer at the end of the day ensuring cash equals receipts.
Performs daily and weekly audits of client on credit accounts.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to speak clearly
- Detail oriented and highly observant
- Precise accuracy with money counting
- Client oriented with a good attitude
- Ability to prioritize tasks and process multiple tasks simultaneously
- Possesses good mathematical skills
- Understanding of basic statistics
- Cash handling experience preferred
- Friendly with integrity and sincerity
- Ability to stay positive in high stress situations.
