Reports to:       Restaurant Manager

Academic Education:

   University degree preferable hospitality service or Business Administration

Related Experience:   

      Minimum experience 2 years in food services or retail industry, out of which 1 year in a supervisory level.

Analytical Skills:

   Good numerical skills, Figures and analysis oriented.

Communication Skills:

   Good command of English: Speak / Read / Write

   Good command of Arabic: Speak / Read / Write

Management / Supervisory Skills:

    Must be able to successful perform the essential functions of this job, posses a good supervisory skills.

    Leadership skills & Management skills (planning, organizing, controlling, leading).

Personal Attributes:

      Creative and initiative, Customer Maniac, Honest, Active, Team player, Hard working & self-driven, decision

       maker, can work under pressure.

 

Functional /Technical Skills:

     Customer oriented with strong people skills, good communication skills.

Job Description:

  • Assist the Restaurant General Manager in the management of a restaurant in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Shares responsibility for the achievement of designated customer, profit, sales, and employee P&L targets.
  • Assist RM in developing AOP, RBP, and Budgets and in tracking restaurants KPIs, review with the team and develop improvement targets.
  • Replace RM during his absence in all duties & responsibilities.
  • Could be assigned any extra tasks by restaurant manager as per work needs.
  • Complete all shift/daily paperwork and assists the Restaurant General Manager in the completion of the weekly and monthly paperwork.
  • Assist RM in implementing the local store marketing plan
  • Assist the RM in  implementing in-store promotions and ensure that all staff are fully briefed to deal with the promotions
  • Keep the Restaurant General Manager informed of any competitive activity that is likely to affect the trading results of the restaurant.
  • Handling the scheduling of school visits and birthdays celebration reservations.
  • Assist RM to carry out local store marketing activities
  • Manage in-store retailing- POS, Suggestive Selling targets, Kids’ and other initiatives for the shift.
  • Coaches and encourages Team Member to suggestive sell in the shift.
  • Communicates marketing initiatives/ New product launches and prepares the shift to execute well.
  • Anticipates and acts on Customer Service opportunities.
  • Continually looks at ways to improve Customer service
  • Assist the Restaurant General Manager to maximise the profitability of the restaurant by monitoring food, pack, labour costs and controllable expenses to ensure these are inline with established targets.
  • Assist the Restaurant General Manager to prepare the weekly labor schedules to ensure all shifts properly staffed/managed and ensures that labor costs are in-line with budget
  • Assist RM in tracking controllable profit and find ways to minimize deficiencies.
  • Determine the required stock levels and maintaining its level.
  • Ensure that all cash handling and in-store banking procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure that the correct level of supplies are ordered, deliveries checked and that stock levels are monitored on a daily and weekly basis and any discrepancies fully investigated and reported.
  • Analyzes Restaurants results – act to improve efficiencies and control waste.
  • Ensure restaurant compliance with all audit requirements / policies ( eg inventory and cash controls)
  • Assist the RM in controlling the product quality, raw materials, purchasing and supplies.
  • Address personally dissatisfied customers and resolve the issue.
  •  Ensure that all Statutory and Company Health, Safety and Food Hygiene regulations are followed and corrective action taken as necessary.
  • Ensure QSC/CHAMPS standards are implemented.
  • Maintain personal hygiene & grooming of  the uniforms of his own.
  • Ensure the awareness of restaurant  staff with security, hygiene and health safety procedures
  • Ensure that problems that can not be dealt with are referred to the RM.
  • Ensure that all restaurant resources i.e labor, product, supplies and equipment are at correct levels to meet the various volumes of the business.
  • Ensure that the correct volume of product is prepared to meet the level of business and that the product control sheet is accurately maintained.
  • Ensure that the restaurant cleaning plan/rota is implemented as planned.
  • Coach Team Members.  Communicate tasks / Conduct briefing / meetings.
  • Demonstrates high integrity and personal standards.
  • Assigns tasks and delegates effectively.
  • Reviews and monitors production and service areas to anticipate and plan for potential customer problems.
  • Adjust prep plans and labor deployment as needed.
  • Ensure restaurant is clean, safe and sanitary during shift.
  • Execute shift change and manage daily opening and closing to ensure readiness for revenue.
  • Develop maintenance schedules and manages unscheduled maintenance when needed.
  • Monitor flows and eliminate bottlenecks in the restaurant.
  • Register sales and cash out drivers
  • Assist RM in applying the Americana Performance Management Program
  • Assist RM in setting the training and development plans for restaurant team members.
  •  Train Team members on all new products cooking procedures.
  • Provide effective coaching and constructive feedback
  •  Assist RM to ensure that all new staff receives a comprehensive induction training to perform the tasks assigned.
  • Coaches team members on their performance
  • Conduct one – one training for the restaurant & technical training for the team members
  • Notifies Restaurant Manager of grievances or potential problems.
  • Listens to and support team members
  • Treats team members fairly, with respect and dignity.
  • Catches people doing right things and personally participates in R&R programs and events
