We are looking for a highly-motivated individual with a strong knowledge and understanding of the digital marketing landscape, along with a solid understanding of marketing basics. In this hands-on role you will not only be leading P.L. Light Systems’ digital strategy, but also be responsible for the day-to-day community management of all social media platforms (including content development), website maintenance, blog calendar and content creation, email campaigns and newsletters.
Working closely with the Sales; Marketing; Customer Service and Technical teams to cultivate a deep understanding our customers’ needs and market trends, you will plan, develop and measure digital campaigns that resonate with P.L. Light Systems’ target audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating quality content for social media posts, blogs, email marketing campaigns, infographics, and articles to reinforce the company's position as the horticultural “lighting knowledge company”.
- Day-to-day community management of all social media platforms—including scheduling and posting content; responding to messages, social monitoring, etc.
- Optimize SEO-friendly content for both web and mobile platforms.
- Extrapolating and interpreting relevant analytics in order to develop high impact campaigns and evaluate campaign effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop meaningful and relevant digital marketing campaign ideas and/or content.
- Manage blog content calendar and leverage relationships with growers, research partners, and internal employees to generate topical, quality content.
Education/Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in marketing, communications, or related field
- 2-5 years’ experience in a relevant marketing role
- Solid data driven marketing experience and experience in marketing campaign implementation across major digital marketing platforms
- Skilled in creating, editing, and promoting written and visual content
- Proven and versatile experience in the creation of content for social media posts, blogs, website content and email campaigns.
- Prior experience in the technology/electronics industry preferred, but not required

Technical Skills
- Good knowledge and understanding of major digital marketing platforms.
- Skilled in creating, editing, and promoting written (and visual) content.
- Experience managing Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, YouTube.
- Experience using Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for graphics creation.
- Experience with Google Analytics and WordPress.
- Previous experience in the creation of varied content for social media posts, blogs, website content and email campaigns.
- Video production / editing skills are a bonus
