Job Description

The HR manager reports to directly to the CEO and is mainly responsible for recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits, performance systems and appraisals, regulation compliance and employee relations among other tasks.

 

Key responsibilities

 

 

  • Recruit personnel
  • Onboard new personnel
  • Establish salary scales and compensation and benefits systems
  • Develop and implement performance settings and appraisal systems
  • Assist the CEO in monitoring employee performance on an ongoing basis
  • Establish personnel policies and ensure implementation
  • Ensure that practices, rules and regulations are in conformity with Lebanese law for Lebanese employee and abroad rules for other countries employee
  • Develop and/or adapt personnel training and development initiatives in line with the requirements of the company
  • Establish adequate succession planning
  • Maintain employee relations and ensure well-being and safety
  • In coordination with relevant managers (for example Finance and Accounting) ensure payroll accuracy and timely execution
  • Develop adequate programs to establish a strong corporate culture and motivation
  • Recommend and develop any relevant initiatives related to the organization and its needs from a personnel and HR perspectives

 

 

Required qualifications and skills:

 

  • Degree in psychology, law, business, HR management or equivalent
  • Ideally 10 years+ experience in senior HR roles in medium/large size companies preferably in the same sector as Shaft
  • Knowledge and experience in Lebanese labor law, recruitment and staffing, training and development, organizational planning and development, performance setting and appraisal systems, employee relations
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Organization management skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
