Job Summary:

The Logistics and Delivery Manager is a key position within our furniture manufacturing operation, responsible for overseeing the logistics and delivery functions to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of furniture to our valued clients. This role involves managing a team of delivery personnel, planning delivery routes, coordinating schedules, and ensuring the safe transport of furniture products.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of delivery drivers, helpers, and warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure a high level of service quality.

Route Planning: Develop and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries while considering factors such as traffic, weather, and client locations.

Scheduling: Create and manage delivery schedules, assigning tasks and resources as needed to meet customer demands.

Quality Assurance: Ensure the safe and secure transportation of furniture products, implementing quality control procedures to prevent damages during transit.

Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of furniture products in the warehouse, including tracking stock levels and coordinating with production to fulfill orders.

Client Communication: Maintain open communication with clients to provide delivery updates and address any delivery-related issues or concerns.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation and safety regulations, including licensing, permits, and vehicle maintenance.

Cost Control: Manage and optimize logistics and delivery costs while maintaining a high level of service quality.

Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance evaluations of delivery personnel and provide training and feedback to enhance performance.

Problem Solving: Address and resolve any delivery-related issues, delays, or discrepancies in a prompt and effective manner.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in logistics and delivery management, particularly in a manufacturing or furniture industry setting.

Strong leadership and team management skills.
