Scope:

The Content Writer is responsible for developing internal and external communications in alignment with OMT strategy & needs. He/ She will research and monitor market news, support in the compilation and circulation of information and drafting press releases. He/ she will generate ideas for new content types and proofread articles before publication In addition, he/ she will contribute in maintaining collaborative relationships between OMT and third parties and will participate in implementation of OMT Corporate events.

Key Responsibilities:

- Write, maintain & update OMT internal and external communications in alignment with department needs

  • Monitor market news including local and international newspapers, websites, etc… Share updates with concerned departments                                                   
  • Initiate internal meetings and support OMT departments with content creation for publication (press releases, newsletter, flyers, brochures, website news, etc.)        
  • Write and share press releases with media channels and coordinate for their publication; monitor press releases and communicate them internally         
  • Handle Corporate Relations quotations, invoices, financial reporting with high accuracy and timeliness                                                                        
  • Participate in the execution of the PR plan
  • Update website content as needed                                                                    

- Participate and administer OMT Corporate events

  • Organize and administer PR events such as conferences, corporate dinners, etc…
  • Address inquiries from the media and other parties & arrange for meetings/ interviews with Stakeholders
  • Maintain and update Corporate Relations contacts’ database

- Perform any other duties related to his/her scope of work and competencies needed in order to meet the ongoing organizational needs. The Job Description is not intended to be all-inclusive

Job Specifications:

  • Education: Bachelor degree in Journalism, Translation, Public Relations, or Communications
  • Experience:  2 to 4 years of related experience in Journalism, Content Writing, Editing, Copywriting & PR
  • Languages:  Advanced in both Arabic & English written & spoken; moderate in French
  • Computer Skills:  Moderate knowledge in Ms. Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Physical Demands: The job operates in a professional office environment and requires using office equipment & technology tools.
